F. Traynor Beck

Principal and Chair of Corporate Practice Group, Post & Schell, P. C

Tray is Principal and Chair of the corporate practice group at Post & Schell, P.C. He concentrates his practice on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and business law and advises early stage companies with respect to their capital formation needs.


Tray has more than 35 years of experience in public finance, mergers & acquisitions, general corporate and project finance. He has extensive knowledge of consolidation transactions and project finance transactions in the energy sector and considerable experience representing early stage companies as they obtain equity and debt financing.

Tray’s experience ranges from advising multinational corporations in connection with the sale of international business units to advising early-stage start-up companies with respect to all aspects of their business.

Tray Beck - Post & Schell

Mr. Beck has extensive knowledge of consolidation transactions and project finance transactions in the energy sector and his broad experience includes representation of developers, power purchasers and financing sources in both fossil-based and renewable energy projects throughout the United States.

Prior to joining Post & Schell, Mr, Beck was a Partner in the corporate practice group of an AmLaw 200 firm and served as the managing partner in Philadelphia.

In 1997, Tray left the private practice of law and co-founded Consolidation Capital Corporation, a publicly traded company that raised more than $500 million in its initial public offering to consolidate one or more fragmented industries. During the next two years, he served as executive vice president and general counsel and oversaw the company’s acquisition program. During that time, the company completed more than 50 acquisitions and grew to $1.8 billion in annualized revenue before merging with another public company in February 2000.

Ralph Kemp

Owner/Manager, Elk Air Conditioning, Inc.


Ralph Kemp is a fourth-generation owner and manager of Elk Air Conditioning, Inc., a leading, award-winning contracting firm providing mechanical and heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) services in Western Pennsylvania.

Elk is known for utilizing innovative energy solutions such as geothermal water source heat pumps, energy recovery systems, and sophisticated climate control systems, often on LEED-certified projects. The company has won local Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) awards in eight of the last ten years.

Rick Klingensmith

President (retired), PPL Global, LLC and PPL Energy Services, LLC

Rick has over 30 years of leadership and management experience working in the energy and environmental industries.  His experience has focused primarily in the international electricity distribution, independent and renewable power generation and environmental services industries, including roles in engineering, financial/business analysis, project finance, financial management, and business management.


Rick is retired as president of PPL Global, the subsidiary of PPL Corporation that operates the company’s international electricity delivery business, and president of PPL Energy Services, the subsidiary of PPL Corporation that developed and operated PPL’s renewable energy and speciality contracting portfolio.

Rick joined PPL Global in 2000 as general manager of global assets, with responsibility for managing the company’s portfolio in Latin America and the United Kingdom.  Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to vice president-finance where he was responsible for all PPL Global’s financial activities.  In 2004, he was appointed president of the subsidiary with overall management responsibility for the organization’s international electricity distribution businesses. Upon his retirement in 2015, the subsidiary had grown to over $2.4 billion in revenues with 6, 400 employees.

Mark Regan

Founder/General Partner, Watchfire Capital, LLC


Mark is General Partner at concentrated equity fund Watchfire Capital LLC, which he founded in 2001. Previously, Mark was a senior vice president at MFS Investment Management, a large mutual fund complex, where he started the Mid Cap growth fund and focused on growth and analysis. He won Morningstar’s 5-Star Fund Manager award for multiple years.

Prior to MFS, Mark was an Equity Analyst at investment management firm Eaton Vance; he worked in multiple industries including media, cellular, engineering, and building products. Mark also worked as an Engagement Manager for McKinsey and Company, the world’s largest strategic consulting company, focusing on a number of manufacturing and distribution studies in photography, copiers, aerospace, and mining.

Prior to business school, Mark worked for four years as a process/quality engineer in Polaroid’s film division, primarily on the SX-70 products. Internships included work at MIT Lincoln Lab in the Satellite Communications Group.

Edgar B. Rumble, Jr.

President, Jet Stream International, Inc.3

Ed is president at Jet Stream International, Inc., a manufacturing company he founded in 2003. Based in Niles, Ohio, the firm is a key supplier of electrical and mechanical components sold through top-level distribution and used in the commercial construction markets. Inc. Magazine ranked Jet Stream 33rd and 50th respectively on its list of fastest-growing manufacturing companies in 2010.


Before founding Jet Stream, Ed was Director of Business Development for ERICO International, a premier manufacturer of engineered products designed for diverse niche applications in the electrical, mechanical, commercial and industrial, rail and utility markets with a sales network serving more than 25 countries and with manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide.

Ed held several positions with Michigan Hanger Company, Inc. before becoming its president and CEO. During graduate school, he worked for the Dean of the Business School in the Development Office, conducting research and acting as a liaison with alumni. Prior to graduate school, Ed worked in Chicago as a project manager for RR Donnelley.

Nathan Rushing

Vice President, Competitive Power Ventures

Nathan has nearly ten years of leadership and project management experience within the PJM and MISO footprints, focusing primarily on ultra-clean, state-of-the-art, combined cycle natural gas generation projects and utility-scale solar PV projects.


Nathan has extensive experience in permitting power generation projects at the federal, state, and local levels. He has successfully taken development projects through due diligence for both project sales and partnership arrangements delivering exceptional results.

He served as a Director of Development at Competitive Power Ventures, Inc., leading the development efforts on their flagship project in Southern Maryland. At CPV, Nathan was responsible for regulatory and interconnection issues within PJM, taking multiple electrical interconnection queue positions to Interconnection Services Agreements.  He has also sited, permitted, and acquired real estate on multiple unique laterals serving power projects to include nearly 20 miles of laterals serving the southern Maryland project.

Prior to joining the energy industry, Nathan served in the United States Army as an Infantry officer achieving the rank of Captain. He led multiple infantry platoons, served as a company executive officer and planned operations for a 600-soldier battalion.

Lorraine Seelaus

Executive Advisor to EMC

Golf Membership & Special Events Coordinator, Hobbit’s Glen Golf Course


Lorraine’s involvement in the energy sector dates back to 1982, when she completed her master’s thesis: Home Energy Audits: Consumer Behavior and Decision Making. Since then, Lorraine has spent decades providing consumer service and education within the electric utility market and beyond.

Following graduate study, Lorraine educated consumers on energy usage and conservation both individually and in the classroom as the Consumer Services Coordinator for the City of Loveland Municipal Electric Utility.

She later served as Manager of Customer Service for Cambridge, Massachusetts’ first cable TV company, American Cable Systems, where she managed service and new account set-ups. Lorraine’s additional customer service experience comes from her role as Dealer Service Specialist/Consumer Service Representative for Polaroid Corporation, where she assisted retail business owners and individual end-users in the film and camera market.

Most recently, Lorraine has brought her energy to the world of sports and fitness working on a part time basis for the Columbia Association (CA.) CA is a nonprofit community services corporation that manages Columbia, MD, home to approximately 100,000 people. Lorraine is combining her passion for golf with her customer service & marketing background and serves as the Golf Membership and Special Events Coordinator for Hobbit’s Glen Golf Course in Columbia, MD.

Lorraine’s knowledge of the energy sector, coupled with her customer relations skills, has positioned her as a valuable advisor throughout the history of EMC. Working in different market sectors has added to Lorraine’s ability to identify & address a variety of customer needs.
